AWH College of Education
Recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), and affiliated with the University of Calicut, AWH College of Education has been a cornerstone of teacher education since its inception in 1996-97. We were the first in Kerala to introduce a B.Ed. Special Education program specializing in hearing impairment and have since expanded to include B.Ed. programs in Commerce, Social Science, Natural Science, and Mathematics, all permanently affiliated since 2002-03.
Located on a scenic 7.21-acres campus beside the Chaliyar River, our institution boasts a modern five-storied building with technologically advanced classrooms and a vibrant learning environment.

Our Legacy
Managed by the Association for the Welfare of the Handicapped (AWH), an NGO established in 1973.AWH is the part of a larger mission that operates 24 institutions across education and social welfare. The Cheruvannur campus is a hub for specialized institutions, including the AWH Teacher Training Institute and AWH Institute of Mentally Handicapped, reflecting a commitment to serving marginalized communities.
